|Private Fiddle lessons
Hello! My name is Hadley Yoder and I am college student offering to teach private fiddle lessons to beginner students.
I have ten years experience with fiddling and am continuing my own music education under Dr. Kathleen Lavengood at George Fox University. I have also played with various ensembles including folk music groups, a church orchestra, and the Chehalem Symphony Orchestra.
So what is the fiddle? It is actually the exact same instrument as a violin. Fiddling just differs from classical violin in the style played! I will teach different styles of fiddling such as old-time (think hoedowns and Oregon Trail), Bluegrass, and Celtic (Irish and Scottish). Playing the fiddle is a lot of fun, and students will get the opportunity to learn music both by sight-reading and by ear training.
I am offering lessons at $10 for a half hour, $15 for 45 minutes, etc. If you have any questions, or are interested in lessons, please contact me at my email address:
