The Fallacy Detective. This is a logic site provided by the authors of the "Thinking Toolbox" and "The Fallacy Detective." FUN site with lots of information regarding the study of logic--formal and informal!
The Truth Project. Focus on the Family's premier worldview seminar developed from their concern (and personal experience) that less than 4 percent of professing Christians actually hold a biblical world view. Thirteen DVD's make up this excellent small group study. It is well worth the effort to join and purchase a set of DVD's to begin your journey into God's truth and how it defines our life spheres.
StudentNewsDaily.com "is a non-profit current events website for high school students. Our goal is to build students' knowledge of current events and strengthen their critical thinking skills. This is done by providing comprehension and critical thinking questions along with published news articles and other current events items from established news organizations. We provide resources that will enable students to become informed viewers and readers of the news." CHOC Board note: we picked up this site on God's World News as a sponsored link. Go to an interview with Mike Smith and the editor of Student World News which disucsses how to help your student discern media bias (especially against family values) and develop critical thinking:
Wilberforce Library includes current articles arranged by world spheres, article type, and comprehension levels (highschool through graduate level). We also recommend Chuck Colson's daily e-commentary "Breakpoint" which deals with current events and social situations from a Christian worldview (some topics are of adult nature but all are presented in a non-graphic and Biblical way).
