Flightschool Gymnastics in Hillsboro offers homeschool PE for ages 5-18 years as follows: Mondays, 12:30-2:30; Wednesdays, 12:30-2:30; Thursdays, 11:00-12:30 (Advanced only -- instructor approval required); and Fridays, 9:30-11:30. The PE Classes will include physical games and weight training. Kentojuku  is under the directorship of Jukucho Kent Kim. Mr. Kim has taught at PSU for many years, is a national and world champion, teaches martial arts fitness and self defense in a very respectful and non pagan environment, and as a parent himself strives to be a positive role model. Metro Gymnastics offers gymanstics classes to homeschoolers during its "off" hours of 12:30 to 3pm.  (They are currently looking to offer homeschool classes on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30pm if they have enough registered). New Hope Community Church HapKiDo Classes  New Hope Community Church Sports Outreach Ministries offers HapkiDo Classes taught by 6th Degree Instructor Kevin Janisse and 2nd Degree Debbie Janisse.  Beginning and Advanced Students are welcome to come and learn a Martial Art that challenges both the body and mind. NorthWest Fencing Center  is operated by the Salle Auriol Fencing Club, which has produced six U.S. Olympians, 26 national champions, and its teams have won 21 national team championships. The NorthWest Fencing Center, located at 4950 SW Western Avenue, Beaverton, provides classes for children and adults at all levels of skill and experience, as well as private lessons, beginning and advanced camps, armory workshops, group parties and homeschool PE and Fencing classes for children ages 6-14. Rice Farms  Mike and Sandy Rice have been providing a ministry to Eagle Fern Camp's horseback riding program for over 10 years. "Our desire is to provide a safe, enjoyable horseback riding experience for each and every rider." They are Girl Scout certified and their basic focus is for the beginner. All horses are easy, gentle, and calm so that any one of any level can ride. Rice Farms provides a large covered area as well as outdoor riding fields. Their focus is Western pleasure for the child to the adult. School of Respect Taekwondo  If your goal in taking martial arts is to strengthen your family, then our school is for you. US School of Martial Arts supports family values and has designed classes that help you incorporate taekwondo disciplines into the family system. Sunset Bowling Lanes  Homeschool Bowling 1st Monday and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 1:30 to 3:00pm (call first as homeschool bowling is cancelled if a party has rented the entire bowling alley).  Cost: $5 per person, includes shoes and unlimited games during time period. (Beaverton).
Top Notch Trampoline, Tumbling, & Cheerleading offers homeschool PE classes, Tuesday 12:30-2:30 or Wednesday 12:30-2:30.  Trampoline & tumbling is a branch of gymnastics that is fun and works with all body types.  In a homeschool class, students will learn gymnastics skills as well as play active games, practice stretching, and learn basic warm-up exercises.  Jeremy Waldridge, the owner of Top Notch as well as the coach of several national champions, is the coach of these classes.  Classes cost $30 for an individual or $50 for a family.  A yearly membership fee of $25 is charged to each student.  Classes are targeted for 1st-6th graders, but younger and older siblings may be admitted to the class if the coach finds it appropriate.  Top Notch is located across from the Hillsboro Costco at 1400 NE 48th Ave, Ste 1400 in Hillsboro. phone: 503-640-8373. email:  (Hillsboro)

Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District  (THPRD) offers some homeschool friendly classes and would offer more if there were interest.  Secular, but wholesome atmosphere. Check their class search and type in homeschool to see what they are currently offering (Fall and Winter/Spring schedules only, ie homeschool classes are generally offered only during the school year).  A number of their home school swim classes are offered during their "down" time in early afternoon (before school is out) and accomodate a wide age range (children are grouped according to ability rather than age).  A number of homeschoolers have been very pleased with these classes.  Unfortunately a number of their classes have been canceled due to low homeschooler turn out.  Let's change that!  (Various locations in Washington County)

Upward Basketball League has been sponsored by Portland First Church of the Nazarene for the last 3 years and involves a number of supportive area churches as partners.  It is a Christ-centered league and "A league where every child plays, every child learns, and every child is a winnter."  It is open to all interested children K through 6th.  They have both girl and boy leagues.  Sign ups begin sometime in September and go through the first of November.  Practices and the season begin in January and go through mid-March.  Contact PFCN for more information.(Various Locations)
Wilsonville Lanes provides homeschoolers bowling on Homeschool Friday - 1 to 3pm on the 3rd Friday of each month.
