Support Resources for Local Homeschool Group Leaders
Are you a homeschool support group leader? Are you heading up a homeschool co-op or about to start one?
This directory page is being developed to include information about leader specific resources for Christian homeschool support group and/or Christian homeschool co-op leaders.
If you are unsure about how or if to start a co-op or local support group, whether large or small, please read our CHOC Board articles in our " Setting Up Co-Op Groups" section.
Group Insurance. Home School Legal Defense Association has helped to procure group and activity insurance for homeschool groups (but they do not provide it themselves). If you are hosting a larger event or regularly lead an activity co-op outside your home, then you may have found it difficult or expensive to find insurance to protect you and your group from liability. HSLDA has stepped up to the plate to find that type of insurance for you through Home School Insurance Solutions. This is a great find for those of us who have had difficulty in finding this type of insurance at a price we could afford!
Leadership Support Organizations.
OCEANetwork is Oregon's statewide homeschool support organization. Contact them to affiliate your group with them, and you will receive HSLDA membership discounts and regular lobby alerts from OCEANetwork. OCEANetwork also provides and annual leadership meeting at its convention in June, with periodic leadership newsletters and notes of encouragement. OCEANetwork will also provide speakers for a group meeting.
